Private Equity & Business Update 8-11-22

1. The markets surged yesterday, and futures point slightly up this AM.
2. The S&P 500 rose 2.13%, the Nasdaq rose 2.89% and the Dow rose 1.63%.
3. Treasury yields dipped slightly yesterday.
4. Inflation came in at 8.5%, a little lower than expected.
5. Disney has now outpaced Netflix on streaming subscriber growth and total subscribers.
6. Gas prices have fallen some. Oil is back to almost $94 a barrel.
7. Bitcoin has jumped to $24,500.
